Mize Mill Falls is a wonderful waterfall in Bankhead National Forest to visit, but there isn't an official trail to get to it. There are two unofficial trails though. and the one I took was well worn. I believe both get a good amount of traffic, so you can expect following the trail to be fairly easy.
On the trail I took, from the Sipsey River Trail parking area only had one spot I need to mention. There was an area about half way that I had to climb using tree roots, so if this is something you would find difficult, you might want to consider the other route. The only concern with the other route is it could be steep in sections, but thankfully, it is shorter. I hae no experience with the route though as I didn't try it.
For a cold winter day, the area was quite busy, but many of the visitors were not heading to the falls, they were sticking to the officially established trails. I did encounter a few groups, but I was lucky enough to have the falls to myself.
Unfortunately, yet again, I forgot to start my activity on my watch and I don't have a trip to add to a map. Fortunately, it is easy to follow. If leaving from the same parking area I did, once you cross over the old bridge, you need to keep to the right and you will see the trail that goes under the new bridge head off behind a sign. Once on the trail, it's easy to follow. You will first come to Turkey Foot Falls. Be sure to stop here as it is beautiful as well. Once you cross the creek, you will continue on and Mize Mill Falls is not much further.
As for my rating of the falls, I'll give it an 8/10, primarily because there are two lovely falls on the same hike.
